Lorna Cox

Honorary Lifetime Director

Lorna taught Biology, Chemistry and Math in Vancouver early in her career, and then in Penticton from 1967 until her retirement in 1999. Married for 50 years to Len Cox, one of the founders of the Foundation, she is a lifelong advocate of education and she dedicated her time for many years to lead the Application Committee at Princess Margaret. When Len passed, Lorna continued to support the work of the Foundation until she “retired” from the Princess Margaret Committee in 2019.

Lorna retired from her director’s position in February 2023 but will continue to assist as a historian and will provide help to the Foundation wherever it is needed. Due to her many years of dedication and countless hours of service, she has been named as an Honorary Lifetime Director of the PSSBSF. She continues to support the Foundation and is grateful to the donors and volunteers who continue the work started in 1985 to ensure that students in Penticton continue to be supported in their pursuit of post secondary training and education.
