OUR WELCOME
The Penticton Secondary Schools Bursary and Scholarship Foundation is pleased to play an active role in the post-secondary plans of graduating students in Penticton schools. We are here to financially assist students with the rising costs of accredited college and university costs so they can fulfil their academic, vocational and trades program objectives.
OUR PURPOSE
The purpose of the Foundation is to establish, administer, receive, invest and disburse funds that will provide bursaries and scholarships for students in Penticton Secondary Schools who exhibit a desire and an aptitude for furthering their education at accredited post-secondary institutions.
OUR HISTORY
PSSBSF started in 1985 by Dick Pritchard and Len Cox at Pen-Hi. In the very first year of the Foundation $1000 was awarded to one student in one school. Penticton Secondary students were originally the only recipients.
Princess Margaret Secondary School was added in the early 2000s when it became a graduating school.
As of 2022, more than $4 million has been distributed to students to help them further their education.
